We have many exciting opportunities from driving a boat, announcing, acting, concessions and of course water skiing.
Experienced show skiers will likely spend time with the competition team. Practices take place on Tuesdays and shows are typically on Thursdays. We also compete at the Midwest Show Ski Regional Tournament and the Show Ski National Championships.
Experienced skiers, who are new to show skiing will likely participate on both the development team and on the competition team. Practices to learn the basics of show skiing take place on Wednesdays and are a great opportunity to learn from experienced skiers. Acquired skills are highlighted in the development show which takes place prior to the competition performance on show nights. Skiers in this group should also attend the Tuesday practices and should attend the weekend tournaments.
New to all types of water skiing will focus their time on the Wednesday development practices. They will focus on learning how to ski and then will transition to skills specific to show skiing. Those who are interested in topping pyramids will also learn foundational skills necessary for that discipline. This group will typically perform in the development show, which takes place prior to the main show. They are also encouraged to attend the main practice on Tuesdays. Attendance of weekend tournaments is optional.
